Education: Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Kate Thomas has been with the Wignall animal hospital since she graduated from VMRCVM in 2006, she is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association and has been certified in Fear Free training. As a general practitioner, Dr. Thomas has special interests in surgery and behavioral medicine. She is the proud mum of two border collies and one mixed-breed dog, as well as a blue-tongued skink.
Dr. Victoria Harvey
Education: Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Victoria Harvey is a graduate of Boston University and Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, where she was awarded a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Lowell, Dr. Harvey started as a Veterinary Technician at Wignall Animal Hospital and was eager to return to the practice as a veterinarian. As a general practitioner she has a special interest in small animal surgery and behavior. In her spare time, Dr. Harvey enjoys kayaking and hiking with her dog, Orion.
Dr. Laila Khayami
Education: University of Edinburgh
Dr. Laila Khayami graduated from the University of Vermont and then attended the University of Edinburgh, where she achieved her veterinary degree. She grew up locally and always wanted animals to be part of her life. Even though she did not have a dog or cat as a child, neighbors and family friends would always entrust her to look after their pets when they were away. After living in United Kingdom for about 5 years, Dr. Khayami decided that Massachusetts was home and returned there to practice. Her interests include surgery and preventative care. Dr. Khayami now has two dogs of her own, Flynn and Maisel. When not at the hospital you can find her enjoying time with friends and family, traveling, hiking with her dogs, or skiing during the winter months.
Dr. Heather Cringan
Education: University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Heather Cringan graduated from Cornell University as a biology major and went on to attend veterinary school in Minnesota. She completed an internship in small animal medicine at Tufts before working as an emergency veterinarian for several years. Then, a work opportunity took Dr. Cringan and her family overseas to Rwanda. While they loved their time abroad, they just could not stay away from the Northeast. Upon returning, Dr. Cringan happily joined Wignall and Belvidere Animal Hospitals. As a general practitioner, her interests include preventative care and pain management. When she is not at the hospital, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, traveling, cooking, and hanging out with her beloved cat.
Dr. Alyssa Cramb
Dr. Alyssa Cramb earned her undergraduate degree in animal and veterinary science from the University of Maine, Orono, and her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in Scotland. She is a member of the Royal Academy of Veterinary Surgeons and the American Veterinary Medicine Association. A New Hampshire native, Dr. Cramb is happy to be back in New England after living abroad for five years, and is excited to become part of the Wignall and Belvedere team! As a general practitioner, she has an interest in preventative medicine and rehabilitative care.
Outside of the hospital, she enjoys traveling to new places, exploring the outdoors, reading, horseback riding and spending time with her family, friends and felines.
Practice Manager/Veterinary Technician
Sarah graduated from Seacoast School of Technology Animal and Plant Science in 2007 and have been working in Veterinary medicine ever since. She started working at our sister hospital Wignall in 2010 and met the Belvidere team in 2015. She spent a few years working at one of our other sister hospitals in Haverhill before making her way back to her roots with the Belvidere/Wignall family September 2019.
She is owned by two cats (Sid & Diesel), a horse named Neely, a dog named Zeus, a Betta fish named Bruce, 12 chickens, and an African Gray Parrot named Patrón. When she is not working, you will find her spending time with her critters, hanging out with her horse at the barn, reading, hiking, painting, and cooking. She am also obsessed with farm animals and I’m hoping to add alpacas and goats to my fur family in the near future.
Joanne attended Northern Essex Community College, then University of Lowell for Law Enforcement. She then attended the State Police Academy. After working for the police department for 14 years, she decided she needed a career change and animals have always been a passion of hers so she started her career as a Veterinary Technician for Belvidere in 1996. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, boating, riding ATV’s, camping, cheering on the Patriots, and spending time with her two horses Ben and Girlfriend, and her Cockateil Elvis.
Tori was born and raised in Massachusetts and from a very young age, she has shown a passion for caring for animals. Her family had a couple of dogs while she was growing up as well as they bred and raised a variety of different breeds of birds.
She is currently in her second year of an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology Program in the North Shore of Massachusetts. She also has volunteered at the MSPCA.
When Tori is not at school or caring for the patients at Belvidere, she enjoys spending time with her 3 year old Aussie Mix, Oakley, reading, drawing, traveling, and biking and hiking with her husband and Oakley.
Customer Service Representative
Stacy was born and raised in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School. She began her career at Belvidere Veterinary Hospital in 2000. Stacy enjoys working in veterinary medicine because she loves being part of their care to help keep pets happy and healthy. In her spare time, Stacy enjoys shopping, spending time with friends and family as well as her dog Micky and her two cats Gimpy and Archie.
Customer Service Representative
Lisa is originally from the Lowell area and attended the Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical School. She lived out in the UK with her husband for 10 years which is where she also started in veterinary medicine. When she and her husband returned to Lowell, she began working for Wignall and Belvidere in 2015. Lisa has a strong passion for animal well being and always wants to make sure everyone is happy and healthy as well as walking away with a cookie or two! In her spare time, she spends most of her time with her two Grand-Daughters as well at her dog Chelsea and cat Murphy.
